Project Objectives

Implementing environmental and energy management systems certified to the requirements of ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 to support achieving their Sustainability goals.

Key Challenges

The management system’s success depends on the adoption and engagement of all OBFF employees.

The team needs to understand how the system works, how it benefits them, their role in the system’s success, and their contribution towards organisational goals.

Training and communication planning within the project helped to overcome this challenge.

Results

O’Brien Fine Foods Timahoe site in Co Kildare is the first to develop, implement and be certified to ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
The plan is to implement this integrated management system into each OBFF site in the ROI and the UK in the coming years.
